Winchester Mystery House
This
Victorian mansion is known for its beautiful architectural designs and spooky
paranormal activities. Once this was the personal residence of Sarah
Winchester, this mansion is renowned for its size, its architectural
curiosities, and its lack of any master building plan. Located at 525 South
Winchester Blvd. in San Jose, this building is a designated California
historical landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Constructed in1884, the property, and mansion were claimed by many to be
haunted by the ghosts of those killed with Winchester rifles. This property is

Founded
in 1927, the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden is a historic rose garden in San
Jose in the Rose Garden District. This garden is dedicated to roses and
features more than 3,500 shrubs representing 189 rose varieties. The AARS named
this garden as America's Best Rose Garden, making it the winner in the first
nationwide competition ever.
The Tech Interactive
Designed
by Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta, the Tech Interactive is a science and
technology center in Silicon Valley. Located adjacent to the Plaza de César
Chávez in downtown San Jose, the front wall is decorated with quotations from
iconic Silicon Valley entrepreneurs Bill Hewlett, David Packard, Bob Noyce, and
Gordon Moore. The building has three floors and has a distinctive mango and
azure color. On the ground floor, visitors can find The Tech Store, The Tech
Cafe, the IMAX Dome Theater, and a recreational area that is reserved for special
events. The upper level holds four major theme galleries of Communication,
Exploration, Innovation, and Life Tech. The middle floor displays a complex
multi-story sculpture titled Origin, inside a 45-foot-tall (14 m) cylindrical
tower. Near the entrance of the building, there is Science on a Roll, a popular
rolling ball sculpture by George Rhoads.
